About Eve's
Eve's Corner Garden CSA was created by three greenhouse growers in Bethany CT in 2008. For a few years, we had been gardening on the far corner of the property and using the very old (now defunct) office building from the previous owner as our supply shack. After a bountiful season in 2007, we decided to try a small CSA with 20 families for the following spring. 2010 was our third year as an operating CSA. We took a sabbatical for 2011, and are excited to be back functioning as a CSA in 2012.
Our Mission
*To provide 40+ households in the New Haven, CT area with vegetables on a weekly basis.
*To bring people closer to their food; where and how it is grown.
*Grow all vegetables organically and ecologically to promote a healthier environment.
What is C.S.A.?
"C.S.A." or Community Supported Agriculture "is
an innovative way to connect farmers and consumers in a mutually
beneficial relationship sharing the risks and rewards of the growing
season. The consumer buys a share of the farm's harvest in advance,
guaranteeing a market for the farmer's produce."
(From the CT Chapter of the Northeast Organic Farmer’s Association’s Website.

Are you certified organic?
At this current time we are not certified organic. We all have
backgrounds in organic farming and believe that organic farming is the
best way to farm. Currently, we consider our vegetables "ecologically
grown". We are still very much attached to a main greenhouse facility
which is not organic, and although we use organic practices
in the field, it would not be correct or fair for us to call ourselves
organic.
Where are you located?
Eve's Corner Garden CSA is located in the center of Bethany, Connecticut. It shares the property with a wholesale greenhouse, and is managed part-time by the employees of the greenhouse. We will provide you with directions before the first share-out, however, we ask that you contact us before visiting, as we may not be readily available to assist you.
